The spherical double-membrane gasometer is the most common means of storing gas generated through processes of biogas recovery. Isolated physically, their primary function is to contain the gas for later use, with production taking place in another area of the plant. These gasometers are different from those used over digesters in their geometric proportions, which require greater operating pressures in order to keep them inflated.

Upbiogas® gasometers are provided with a pressure regulating valve, continuous gas volume monitor and pressure equipment.
